Pernod Ricard North America has appointed Colin Kavanagh as chief marketing officer, according to a press release. Kavanagh will be tasked with accelerating growth and driving digital transformation as the company works to be more consumer-centric.
Previously the senior vice president of transformation for the spirits marketer, Kavanagh will continue driving the company's transformation with a focus on operationalizing and accelerating the business, with marketing as a key growth driver, per the release.
Kavanagh has 25 years of experience at Pernod Ricard companies, including Irish Distillers, Pernod Ricard HQ, Corby Spirit and Wine, Pernod Ricard Brazil and The Absolut Company. Before his appointment to chief transformation officer in 2022, he served as CMO for Pernod Ricard EMEA LATAM for more than three years.
Kavanagh succeeds Pam Forbus, who was appointed as CMO in 2020. Pernod Ricard did not immediately respond to Marketing Dive’s request for comment regarding Forbus' next move. This story will be updated pending a response.
An active marketer, Pernod Ricard brands include Absolut Vodka, Jameson Irish Whiskey and Malibu, along with several Scotch whisky and wine labels.
