Insticator, a global leader in increasing engagement, research revenue and ad revenue for publishers through interactive content, today announced the opening of its first Canadian office in the Waterloo region. The newly-formed Waterloo team will elevate Insticator’s research and embed products to provide publishers with strong audience analytics and researchers with the right audiences and more actionable data.
“Being in Waterloo reminds me of the collaborative atmosphere we’ve had at Insticator since launching our accelerator program over five years ago,” said Zack Dugow, CEO and founder of Insticator. “Waterloo is the perfect tech hub as we continue our expansion, particularly because of the open and collaborative community.”
Ian Wilson, director of engineering, and Francisco Martinez, head of design, will manage the office and focus on developing and growing the company’s engineering and product development teams. The company currently works with Canadian publishers such as Oilers Nation. Insticator has been working closely with Waterloo EDC, which provides complimentary business expansion and relocation support, as part of the office launch and is also a part of Waterloo’s Communitech network. Communitech helps tech companies start, grow and succeed, and supports a community of more than 1,400 companies.
“We’re honored to have Insticator join our growing community,” said Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic. “The Kitchener and Waterloo regions have so much to offer for new startups and entrepreneurs, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome Insticator as the newest member of our vibrant and growing technology community.”
“It’s exciting to welcome Insticator to our community,” said Waterloo EDC President and CEO Tony LaMantia. “Not only are they a great addition to our vibrant tech ecosystem, but I’m really looking forward to working with them as they evolve and grow in the years to come.”
The expansion follows significant growth for Insticator, with the company reporting a 601% increase in revenue in 2018. Since its inception, Insticator has made it easier for publishers and advertisers to increase content engagement and generate ROI while increasing website ad revenue and engagement. Over the past 12 months, Insticator has continued to expand its services and capabilities and refine its highly customizable and visible embed. Within the embed, publishers can include animation behind survey and poll questions to create stronger narratives and incite engagement.
Insticator will celebrate the new office, located in downtown Kitchener, with a launch party on May 17 at 9 a.m. ET. Highlights for the event include a ribbon cutting by Mayor Vrbanovic and the opportunity for Insticator team members to meet members of the wider tech community in Waterloo.
Insticator prides itself on its culture-first approach to accelerated company growth. The company has been recognized as a winner of the Red Herring Top 100 North America Awards in 2017 and one of Inc.’s Fastest Growing Companies in 2017.
