Wagner, a seasoned designer, creative thinker and branding expert, has spent the last eighteen years fine-tuning the creation of lasting emotional bonds between brands and the audience. Freelancing and working in-house roles for design studios and advertising agencies in Boston, eventually she moved to Portland in 2007 to continue her freelance career. She has created work for clients such as Amtrak, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), CBRE Group, The Nature Conservancy and Hilton. She enjoys forming connections with clients and understanding their aspirations.
Starin spent a decade in NYC at Beber Silverstein Group and Wieden + Kennedy, leading strategic integrated planning for clients including Nike, jetBlue, Sony Consumer Electronics, Procter & Gamble, Bacardi and Dewar's, before shifting to being the Vice President of Business Development for Universal McCann, where she led multi-million dollar global new business pitches for Ethan Allen, NASDAQ, Chicco and South Africa Tourism. Her most recent role was with a popular travel start-up as Director of Business Development where she developed and executed multi-dimensional marketing programs for clients including Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Tourism, Hyatt, National Geographic's The Photo Society and Hostelworld.
“Our plan is to help steer businesses in the right direction. A little nudge here. A big idea there. said Angela Wagner, Managing Partner and Creative Director of Pivot Studio. “Whether our partnering brands have the seeds of a plan and need a team to bring it to life, or just need some help smoothing out rough edges, we move quickly and nimbly to bring new life to our clients work. From building a full brand identity to evaluating the competitive landscape and creating a comprehensive plan for content, social and marketing, we work as an extension of our clients.”
Today, Starin and Wagner use their combined experience in creative branding, business development, media planning, audience engagement analytics, social media strategy, video production, and content creation to bring out the heart of the brands they love.
