Dive Brief:
- Triggit, a retargeting provider for Facebook, has announced plans to expand its news feed-style native ads to other publishers across the web.
- No names have been released yet, but Triggit says the beta testers include several Fortune 500 retailers and global travel clients.
- The expansion will also include access to mobile inventory through other publishers — Facebook has yet to open mobile inventory on its exchange, FBX.
Dive Insight:
Triggit is making a gamble that the news feed style of native ads will be a success outside of Facebook. Considering that banner blindness is a real and growing problem, Triggit shouldn't have any trouble finding publishers to give the native ads a shot. The gamble is whether or not the ads will perform as well as they do on Facebook.
