Dive Insight:
Marketers are interested in taking advantage of social media influencers, and influencer marketing firm TapInfluence has automated the process with its new TapFusion platform. Brands can post campaigns in TapFusion with details such as campaign requirements and influencer specs like number of followers and get connected with qualified influencers among the around 25,000 registered influencers on TapFusion. Around 200 brands are using the platform.
In an announcement, TapInlfluence’s CEO Promise Phelon said, “We heard marketers and agencies’ complaints that influencer marketing was too manual, too costly, and too unmeasurable to be the bedrock of their strategies. We heard the frustrations they faced with point solutions that purported that identifying influencers alone was influencer marketing.”
Marketers are looking to influencers because these campaigns have proven to provide a solid return on investment. Research from RhythmOne found influencer campaigns in the first half of 2015 earned $9.60 for every dollar spent.
