• DHL is testing out drone deliveries in Germany— first to deliver to remote islands. 
• The delivery service is following in the footsteps of American companies Amazon and Google who are testing drone technology in Canada and Australia respectively. 
• Unlike Amazon and Google, DHL doesn't plan to cover a wide delivery area with the drones, but wants to utilize the technology only when it's most cost effective—like when delivering to remote areas.

Drone delivery is starting to become a very real possibility, but there is still a ways to go until it becomes commonplace.  It will be interesting to watch the drone race between retailers and delivery services.
