Dive Insight:
“We believe brands should look to their customers as both a source of inspiration, as well as a source of authentic photos and videos,” Ranvir Gujral, co-founder and CEO of Chute, said in a blog post.
The UGC marketing platform expanded its platform from search hashtags, keywords and comments around images and video shared on social media, to technology that detects the images and videos directly.
“Our platform is uniquely suited to give marketers insights about and access to all the photos shared about their brands and products. We also give them an easy way to clear rights to use them and then publish them across all of their marketing channels in a seamless experience," Gujral said.
The three additions to Chute’s platform include: IRIS, a visual tech that detects brand logos and other elements in photos shared on Twitter and Instagram; Chute Discover, a photo and video search engine for social media; and Chute Social, a posting tool that includes visual content discovery.
Chute said it will add Facebook by December.
Some of its clients include NBCUniversal, Condé Nast, The New York Times and Ford Motor Co.
