AgriChart launches mobile site
AgriCharts, a Web site that provides market data for agricultural investors, has launched AgriCharts Mobile.
The mobile site is available at http://www.agricharts.com/mobile and provides free information on agricultural markets, news and weather for mobile phone users. AgriCharts Mobile, which is the agricultural division of Barchart.com, offers its consumers mobile Web services market data and technology to agribusinesses, as well as real-time quotes for subscribers.
"We are fully committed to providing the fastest and most efficient access to agricultural market data and information, like future quotes, news and weather," said Mark Haraburda, managing director at Barchart.com, Chicago.
"With the growth of smart phone devices, mobile-based Web sites for delivering this information will continue to grow and AgriCharts Mobile provides the ideal solution for producers, processors and other agricultural market participants who need access to market information on the go and from anywhere."
The service offers market data for futures, stocks, indexes and forex, as well as charts for each of these markets.
In addition, AgriCharts Mobile is available as a real-time subscription-based service. The site can also be private-labeled by third-parties, providing a branded mobile market information service.
The mobile site features cash grain prices, agricultural market commentary, USDA news, weather, and heat maps categorized by market which allow consumers to create watchlists, as well.
On a mobile browser, the service is accessible at http://www.agricharts.com/mobile. Consumers who would like real-time quotes can subscribe for a monthly fee.
The real-time version of AgriCharts Mobile is available as a standalone service or add-on to AgriCharts AgPlus or AgriCharts Webstation, which are desktop real-time market data, news and weather systems.
AgriCharts' services also feature Web site hosting and management, market data and information, Web content and real-time quote services.
http://Barchart.com/ is a full-service provider of futures, equity and foreign exchange market data, and provides agricultural information and technology services to the agricultural industry.
"Many mobile services have been developed, but often have involved software components and logins, which make the process for accessing key market information time consuming and cumbersome," Mr. Haraburda said. "AgriCharts Mobile will also give agricultural market participants an easy-to-use and reliable service for accessing the market information they need."
