Country star Tim McGraw launches mobile site

Award-winning country music artist Tim McGraw has launched a mobile site to reach fans on-the-go.

The Country music singer tapped Dublin, Ireland-based dotMobi and interactive marketing firm Triovisions to help with the mobile site at mcgraw2go.mobi. Tim McGraw fans can opt-in to receive SMS and email alerts, view breaking news, tour dates, download photos or videos and buy electronic media.

"This [mobile site] is so Tim's audience can stay up-to-date on all things McGraw anytime, anywhere," said Richard Trio, president of Triovisions, Wilmington, NC. "It is about making content accessible to consumers that want it and want to participate in activities that support Tim McGraw.

"With chart-topping music and the Tim McGraw 08 Live Your Voice Tour, there are definitely some great things to keep consumers informed about," he said.

DotMobi is the consortium behind .mobi -- the only Internet address created specifically for mobile phones.

Mcgraw2go.mobi works on any mobile device, regardless of model or wireless carrier. Site users can also access The Neighbor's Keeper Foundation, which was started by Mr. McGraw and his wife, singer Faith Hill. People can make donations through the mobile site right from their handset.

The mobile site was created by Triovisions and is supported by the company's Trio360i platform.

"With the advantages of the Trio 360i platform, the ability to update and apply dynamic content on-the-fly with live polls are going to give the mcgraw2go properties a real-time environment that enables us to reach consumers in an instant where they work, play and live," Mr. Trio said.
