Zvue Network goes mobile

Digital entertainment company Zvue Corp. has partnered with Transpera, provider of a platform that serves ads on mobile.

As part of this deal, Zvue's Web sites are now available on mobile devices. Fans of sites such as eBaum's World and Putfile can send their favorite videos from those sites to mobile devices. In addition, mobile device users can directly access the Zvue Network through the browsers on their mobile phones at http://m.ebaumsworld.com and http://m.putfile.com.

"We are committed to providing entertainment to our viewers on whatever device they choose and to providing advertisers with innovative and effective ways of reaching those viewers," said Jeff Oscodar, president/CEO of Zvue, San Francisco, in a statement.

"By using the Transpera platform, we are enabling the Zvue Network audience to view and share great professional and user-generated content on their mobile devices while providing a channel for our advertising partners to communicate with those users," he said.

"We have now extended the reach of our constantly expanding library of content to the vast mobile community and opened up new revenue opportunities," he said.

The partnership allows Zvue to offer its viewers video sharing from one mobile device to another. Users can also search for videos, receive notifications of new videos and forward videos between mobile devices.

At the same time, advertisers will have the opportunity to reach Zvue users on their mobile phones.

"The evolution of the mobile market has created new channels and opportunities for publishers to reach a greater audience and monetize their content in a new way, -- said Frank Barbieri, founder and chairman/CEO of Transpera, in a statement.
