ABC, Disney Channel join ESPN on Flo TV
Qualcomm Inc.?s mobile TV service provider Flo TV Inc. has expanded its content distribution agreement with The Walt Disney Co. to add content from the ABC Television Network and the Disney Channel to its lineup.

As part of the deal, Flo TV users will have access to shows in primetime from ABC Mobile?including ?Grey?s Anatomy? and ?Desperate Housewives??and a simulcast of the Disney Channel?featuring ?Hannah Montana? and ?Wizards of Waverly Place.?
?We?ve seen tremendous success in the kids and family demographic, and Disney is a world-class, premier provider of that type of programming, so this deal reinforces our opportunity to reach that audience,? said Jonathan Barzilay, Los Angeles-based senior vice president of programming and advertising at Flo TV.
?Our mobile TV lineup now includes Disney and Nickelodeon, the two leading brands for kids, as well as NBC, CBS and Fox, so the addition of ABC gives us all four leading broadcast services as well,? he said.
?This deal reinforces our strength of kids? programming and completes our lineup of TV network broadcasters.?
Flo TV offers full-length simulcast and time-shifted mobile TV programming from a range of entertainment brands.

Audiovox and Flo TV will be launching Flo TV Auto Entertainment, an in-vehicle entertainment system that delivers high-quality TV, offering enhanced entertainment beyond DVDs.
Flo TV is also available as a direct-to-consumer dedicated device, the Flo TV Personal Television, which Qualcomm claims is the first-ever portable digital television with a dedicated network.

Flo TV is running a paid media campaign in support of its Personal TV product. Ads appeared in Best Buy circulars, print and electronic media.
?The Flo TV Personal Television is sold out at numerous Best Buy stores,? Mr. Barzilay said. ?We?re also selling it via Amazon.com and RadioShack.com, and we?re very pleased with the early indications, although it?s too soon for us to have a meaningful picture.?
