Hyundai streamlines driving with Intelligent Assistant mobile app
Hyundai is making driving even easier with the introduction of its Genesis Intelligent Assistant, a mobile application for Hyundai owners designed to save them time and offer convenience via capabilities such as an engine timer, remote defroster and Blue Link features.
The Genesis Intelligent Assistant syncs with drivers? smartphones and provides a slew of reminders and notifications that can safely be viewed from the vehicle. Hyundai believes that cars are beginning to behave more like smartphones every day, and that consumer demand for these types of apps is extremely high.
?They are combining smart technology with a solid well-designed luxury car that can only help push more consumers towards Genesis,? said Declan Carney, co-founder & chairman of BlueLink Marketing, New York, NY. ?The apps will help Hyundai to effectively market and promote its brand as being progressive and cutting edge.
?Connecting your consumer product in innovative ways to the most ubiquitous device ever created (the smart phone) needs to be a goal for all manufacturers, but Genesis seems to be a step ahead at the moment.?
Smart
features
The
Intelligent Assistant is equipped with multiple layers of intelligence that
allow it to pull data from the vehicle, the user?s mobile device and the
Internet. One of the app?s premiere features is the Remote Start, which
includes an engine timer for up to ten minutes, remote climate control and
remote stop.
The app provides commute information and automatically estimates departure times and reminders for any upcoming appointments that are visible on the driver?s smartphone calendar. The temperature outside is also monitored by the user?s ZIP code before the estimated departure time, prompting the app to send a notification asking if drivers would prefer to remote start their car to heat it or cool it down.
Consumers will also be able to receive reminders for any car care, and can schedule those appointments right from Genesis. The Assistant aims to make life easier on drivers, whether they are rushing to work or trying to make a dinner reservation in time.
?People are beginning to realize that the benefit of mobile extends beyond the traditional accompanying devices,? said Mark Ghermezian, co-founder & CEO of Appboy, New York, NY. ?As consumers get more accustomed to controlling their environment from their phones etc., it's only a matter of time before other car brands follow suit with paired apps and other mobile features.?
Blue
Link integration
Hyundai
has integrated with the updated Blue Link mobile app, which powers features
such as remote start and dashboard scheduling. Consumers that already use Blue
Link will be sent a notification asking them to download the Blue Link 3.0 app.
Users of the 2015 Sonata Blue Link will have the app update automatically, or will be prompted to accept the update through their respective app stores. Subscribers to Blue Link receive access to a plethora of other features, including search and send Points of Interest to a Hyundai car, locking the door remotely and accessing monthly vehicle health reports.
?To remain competitive, other car brands will incorporate similar types of A/I mobile strategies,? BlueLink Marketing?s Mr. Carney said. ?Overtime, I think the general public; not just tech savvy consumers will benefit from these apps.
?They'll be used by many in various different ways to help improve the quality of their driving experiences.?
