ChaCha extends answers service to include social platform
ChaCha has introduced the ChaCha.me social platform, extending its service to include answers directly from individuals and businesses.
ChaCha answers are now accessible via Facebook, Twitter, Texting 242242, the ChaCha.com Web site, and its iPhone and Android applications. David Guetta, who won a Grammy this year and has had two songs on the Billboard Top 50 for over 30 weeks, will help launch ChaCha.me while performing this week at the 25th Annual Winter Music Conference in Miami, FL.
?ChaCha is all about free questions and answers,? said Scott Jones, CEO of ChaCha, Indianapolis, IN. ?This is a line extension of its core business of providing free answers to anyone, any time, on nearly any platform.
?We expect that as ChaCha.me gains momentum, it will be a go-to place for teens and young adults to ask questions of celebrities, friends and even businesses that interest them,? he said.
?Since there are ties to other social media like Facebook and Twitter, the potential audience for ChaCha.me is nearly limitless.?
David Guetta will answer numerous questions from fans and followers every day this week at Winter Music Conference.
Some people might ask personal questions, but others may be interested in learning a lot more about how this superstar from France is transforming the music business in the United States.
ChaCha has become a good way for marketers to engage teens and young adults, especially with the new social aspect.
Through its ?smart friend? platform, ChaCha has answered nearly 500 million questions since launch from approximately 15 million unique users per month.
Working with major brands such as Paramount, AT&T, Palm, Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola, McDonald?s, and presidential political campaigns, ChaCha.com is one of the fastest-growing mobile and online publishers, according to Nielsen and Quantcast.
The core functionality at ChaCha.me is simple.
Anyone can ask a question of anyone who sets up a profile there: people and businesses.
Subsequently, the owner of the page can decide whether to answer the question which will then be seen by all.
ChaCha.me further extends ChaCha?s ask-a-friend Facebook application, launched in 2009.
In coming weeks, ChaCha.me will include mobile functionality that augments the online version that launched yesterday.
?As ChaCha.me gains traction, it will build on ChaCha?s already vast monthly audience of teens and young adults improving the efficiency of marketers who want to target that otherwise hard to reach demographic,? Mr. Jones said.
?Already ChaCha provides marketers the largest reach to teens and young adults anywhere - yes, that includes TV shows,? he said. ?By expanding its audience and platform availability, ChaCha solidifies its ?ownership? of the teen/young adult audience.
?Social is the way to get to this audience. Nearly every major social platform now has a mobile app and teens in particular are using their mobile devices in place of desktops.?
