AOL, AIM go mobile via Emoze

Messaging aggregator Emoze is giving AOL and AIM subscribers full access to their messages on their mobile phones.

Subscribers to AOL and AIM will now have access to their accounts via any Web-enabled phone and will get the full experience of mobile messaging with real-time, secure synchronization.

"Emoze is the true mass-market push email community solution," said Eitan Linker, CEO of Emoze, London. "Let's say you have the BlackBerry solution, Emoze strategy is to work on as many email sources as possible and also support the inboxes of communities like Facebook.

"Furthermore, our strategy is to work on as many mobile devices as possible," he said.

Messaging aggregator Emoze transforms mobile devices into multipurpose communication devices. It delivers synchronized emails, calendars, contacts and tasks, continually pushing updates to the user.

The software is free to download and available at http://www.emoze.com.

Emoze push mail mobility is economic and efficient, only pushing messages when the mobile device is open and ready to receive mail.

Email delivered through Emoze employs compression and encryption, which provides security for users.

For users with multiple email addresses or those involved in social networking communities, Emoze Pro version lets users set up multiple messaging addresses for a monthly fee.

"There are a lot of users on AOL so there are a lot of emails we are supporting," Mr. Linker said. "We are really taking AOL to mobile to make it easy for the user to get messages on their devices.

"All they have to do is type is username and password," he said. "They don't have to configure anything. The user message is pushed right to the phone."

Emoze is a free service to consumers. The Pro version has a monthly fee.

What's unique about this launch is that AOL and AIM subscribers never have to miss another important message.

They can read, reply, forward or save email messages while on the go.

The service is meant to make subscribers feel like they have a PC in their pocket.

"Our solution isn't just for the high-end smartphone market," Mr. Linker said. "All users can get their email via mobile."
