Analysys Mason buys peer consultancy Redbox
Analysys Mason Group has bought Redbox Consulting Services Ltd., a peer firm serving the telecommunications and media industries.
Redbox offers consultancy services to fixed and mobile operators, mobile virtual network operators, media companies and vendors.
"[The strategy here] is to extend our service offering to cover a wider range of strategy and operations consulting capabilities across multiple geographies," said Simon Jones, CEO of Analysys Mason, London.
Redbox specializes in strategic business planning, market entry strategy, MVNO implementation, distribution strategy, sales process optimization and market research. Directors Arun Dehiri and Mike Greening head the firm.
Clients of Redbox include are BT, Vodafone, Optus, Etisalat, Tiscali and Ericsson.
"Redbox offers an attractive stream of current client work and relationships, as well as a number of innovative and industry-leading tools and methods in their core areas of strategic and marketing planning and operations consulting," Mr. Jones said.
Analysys Mason's offer client services such as research, strategy, technology and operations. The company has offices in Cambridge, Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Dublin, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Singapore and Washington.
"[The challenge here is] increasing client demands for advice on how to implement strategies, launch new entities and services, and optimize performance in existing operations," Mr. Jones said.
"The acquisition has enabled Analysys Mason to increase management leadership breadth and capability to the group around which we can continue to accelerate the growth of our activities," he said.
