Hilton Garden Inn mobilizes business centers for guest convenience
Hilton Garden Inn launched PrintSpots mobile printing to provide better convenience for its guests.
Consumers can print documents from anywhere in the world directly to the PrintSpots printer. The printer is located in each of Hilton Garden Inn?s business centers.
?Hilton Garden Inn offers guests everything right where they need it and one thing we know our guests love is a functional business center,? said Dawn Ray, director of PR at Hilton Garden Inn, Memphis, Tenn.

Mobile printing
Hilton Garden Inn guests can use the PrintSpots printer which works with any smartphone device, including the BlackBerry and iPhone.
Consumers can forward the document they want to print from their smartphone to a property-specific email address dedicated to the PrintSpot printer located in the hotel?s business center.
The PrintSpots service completes the task by processing the document and holding it until the consumer releases it, using a unique release code.
PrintSpots is available at any Hilton Garden Inn location and the service is free of charge to guests of the hotel.
?Each hotel has a hotel-specific email address from PrinterOn,? Ms. Ray said. ?The guest simply forwards the email ? with an attachment ? they want to print to the specific email address for that hotel.
?Then it will print in the hotel?s business center,? she said. ?The guest then retrieves the document from the business center.?
The hotel claims that it helps guest stay productive while away and remote mobile printing is one more way it helps guests prepare for them achieve whatever it is they set out to achieve while traveling.
In addition, the hotel claims that guests can print easily and securely from their laptops and wireless handheld device, whether it is an email, a sales contract or boarding passes.
All data is transferred and encrypted using Internet security standards to ensure privacy and security in every transaction.
Hotel applications
This is not Hilton Garden Inn?s first foray into mobile. The hotel has an iPhone application where consumers can find hotels near their current location, by address or airport.
Here is a screen grab of the application:
Additionally users can book a stay, view or modify upcoming reservations, access their HHonors account and book reward stays.
Hilton HHonors gold and diamond members can check-in online up to 48 hours in advance
The application features specials and offers for Hilton Garden Inn guests.
In addition to the iPhone application, there is also a mobile-optimized Internet browser site for the BlackBerry.
?More and more of our guests are not traveling with their laptops, but they are just taking their blackberries on trips,? Ms. Ray said. ?They still need to print things and this new service allows them to do just that.?
