Dive Brief:
- Facebook’s Creative Hub tool based around mobile creative for Facebook and Instagram is now available to all marketers worldwide, according to a Facebook blog post.
- The tool was announced in June at Cannes Lions and was tested by 30 creative agencies “ideating, experimenting, sharing and building great creative ideas on mobile,” as described by the Facebook news. It allows marketers to mock up mobile creative, see how it looks as though it were live and share that mobile creative with anyone.
- Facebook is also introducing a new Inspiration Gallery that will showcase examples of mobile creative across Facebook and Instagram.
Dive Insight:
As Facebook's services for mobile marketers proliferate — including 360 video, carousel, canvas and video — the company needs to support brands' and agencies' efforts to ensure that users have the best possible experience.
Mobile creative is still in its early stages, with formats and best practices still evolving. Facebook’s Creative Hub gives marketers a place to better understand mobile tools and formats, preview and share mock-ups and just experiment with content creation for Facebook and Instagram.
Facebook is launching a course on Creative Hub for agencies through its Facebook Blueprint global education and certification program. The tool and course matches some of the tools Google offers marketers to help optimize its ad platform, such as the recently announced Google Academy for Ads.
